19 December, 2018Christmas

Last week we looked at the need to accept gifts. So what are the gifts God gives us? The first one, is the priceless gift of His one and only Son. Gods gift of a Saviour “And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Matt 1:21”

That couldn’t be possible without love, real and perfect love. God’s gift of love: “Jer 31:3: I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself”

Because of that love we can receive God’s gift of peace. “I am leaving you with a gift– peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid” John 14:27.

And God’s gift of grace: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast” Eph 2:8-9

Sounding wonderful so far...but wait there’s more! Check in next week.
