Pastoral Care at Marion Church of Christ

John 13:34 New Revised Standard Version

34 I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.

Pastoral Care is so important for us all to understand as it involves everyone in our Church family

Pastoral Care is a term used for a way of caring and nurturing each other during our faith journey.

It can be informal and formal. In fact we as Christians we are all called to be pastoral carers for one another. Jesus has told us to love one another as I have loved you. This Christlike love is one that seeks the best for each other. When you hurt, we hurt; when you celebrate we celebrate and rejoice with you.

We also have a group of people identified as Pastoral Carers who seek to ensure that our church family and their spiritual needs are being met as best we can.

You will also see pastoral care shown in our small groups; be it a home/life group or a program of the church like craft.

Pastoral Care is also about, spiritual care, i.e. maintaining our relationship with God. A great way we can do this as a Church family is being connected into our life groups and other small groups that operate across the Church
