Hello everyone,

Welcome to this week's Friendly Word Newsletter.

What a great week it has been even as we have all juggled with the heat of summer.

Craft is back onsite on Wednesdays from 10am - 12noon with Side Gate Cafe open too. A busy day with lots of chatter enjoyed by all.

To Element Youth this Friday is MOVIE Night for all Years 7-12s here at church - 7pm-9pm $4

PLUS Pool Party next week.

Plus there was Barista Coffee $3 on Sunday at both services last week, plus instant and cup of teas served also - Woo Hoo!

On Sunday we continue in the series, “A restored Soul in Psalms”. Pastor Bill Tyrie will share from Psalms 42:1-2, Psalm 63:1 and John 4:13-14 ‘Applying the “Thirst” principle’

Don’t forget to bring your Bibles, your journals etc to take notes as we explore what God has for us to absorb this week.

What a fabulous week it has been.

With Side Gate Cafe and Good Gear open and doing amazing work.

With Friendship Club on Thursday (thanks again to the fabulous team at Side Gate Cafe for doing coffees) - loved hearing Ian, Chris and Steve sing up a storm.

See you on Sunday for the start of the new sermon series - under the theme of Restoration. This series is entitled “A restored Soul in Psalms”. Pastor Bill Tyrie will share from Psalms 19:7, Psalm 23:3 and Proverbs 11:25 ‘Applying the “Refresh” principle’

Yippee VISION SUNDAY PLUS FAMILY FUN DAY!

EVERYONE'S INVITED

The Friendly Word has got all the information in it - we'd love to see you here, but don't forget to RSVP.

- There is no 6pm service on Sunday as we will be connecting after the 10am service into the afternoon.

- Young Adults - check with Pastor Scott for all the information about your next gathering.

There is always something happening here at Marion Church of Christ.

- Craft started back on Wednesday with a few changes due to COVID but so lovely to hear the warm chatter and reconnections.

- A big shout out to SIDE GATE CAFE for the amazing job they did catering for the extra 30+ coffees - WOW! awesome effort.

- Thanks to the LEADERS that came along to the Leadership Night on Wednesday night - it was good to reconnect and have a quick review of 2020 and look forward to 2021 with all the knowledge and skills acquired through 2020.

There's lots of news and ways to connect in with one another in the Friendly Word this week - Life Groups, Vision Sunday, Serving - God is good that we can connect in so many ways. Check out all the groups coming back onsite in February.

Kids@Marion will be on during the 10am service, so we look forward to all our kids meeting up for a fun, relaxed holiday program.

Thankfulness is not something God gives us. It is not a spiritual gift and it is not a spiritual fruit. We can receive God's peace, joy and love, but thankfulness is something that we give to God and to others. It is a choice that we make.
