Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else guard your heart for it is the well spring of life”

Pastor Bill spoke the Word on Sunday continuing in the series Fruit of Wisdom.

Proverbs 4:26 (NCV): “Be careful what you do, always do what is right”

Another translation says (NLT) “Mark out a straight path for your feet, stay on the safe path”

In this proverb, it highlights how important our actions are, we know what is the right path to take, a secure path, a morally higher path that honours God.

Pastor Stephen Scott shared the Word on Sunday 1 November: Fruit of Wisdom - In our Wealth

Wealth is good, coming from a God given ability to produce and provide

- Wealth comes with warnings and instruction

Proverbs 18:11 – The wealth of the rich is their fortified city; the imagine it a wall too high to scale

Proverbs 23:5 – Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle

Proverbs 23:4 – Do not wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint

Proverbs 3:9-10 says Honour the Lord with your wealth, 10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing,

Proverbs 11:24-25 One person gives freely, yet gains even more; 25 A generous person will prosper;

Pastor Bill continued our journey through the book on Proverbs, and focused on Proverbs 3:5-6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Sometimes we may not be able to figure out answers that life throws out at us, but when we put our trust in God and his wonderful wisdom, he will find a way through for us.

Aaron Gully’s wonderful message on Sunday 18 October, as part of the fruit of wisdom series, where he acknowledged how incredible this Church family are at serving. He encouraged us all to continually keep looking for ways to serve and directed us to Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV):

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Last Sunday was an introduction to the new series, Fruit of Wisdom.

Our Senior Pastor Bill, spoke about going to the Book of Proverbs in the bible for WISDOM.

Proverbs 8: 11 (NIV): “for wisdom is more precious than rubies and nothing you desire can compare with her”

"Godly wisdom” starts with God, and can be found in our daily prayer space and daily Bible reading.
