It was a good day to be in church on Sunday. It is so good to be in the presence of God as a people of faith, lifting up our voices in praise and worship to God.

Sonya read these verses at the 10am yesterday, to come and to worship, to worship from our hearts, to make a joyful noise, to bless God and each other in our singing.

Psalm 100 A psalm. For giving grateful praise. (NIV)

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

2     Worship the Lord with gladness;

come before him with joyful songs.

Ephesians 5:19 (NIV)

19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,

Pastor Stephen asks the question: Why is it that we want people to Meet Jesus?

Above all our hope is to get to know people, come to our church and connect with our community but most of all that they Meet Jesus for themselves.

Book of Colossians Part 2

13 October, 2024 Stephen Scott

Missed Sunday's 10am service or would like to revisit, join Pastor Stephen as he delves into the Book of Colossians.

The Supremacy of the Son of God

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

21 Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because ofa] your evil behavior. 22 But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation— 23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

Pastor Stephen looks at the passage through the len’s of Jesus

Our creator answers the why questions by getting us to look to Jesus, like Paul did.

- Who are you Lord?

- What would you have me do?

Does God have supremacy in our life? God cares for this world and all things in it.

God knows there is suffering and He suffered himself.

Naomi Beames Churches of Christ SA&NT : Jesus I am the bread of life

29 September, 2024 Naomi Beames

Thank you to Naomi Beames CoC SA & NT for coming and sharing the Word at our 10am service last Sunday.

Naomi is involved with helping churches with finance, governance, insurance, support churches into the future, seeing what God’s plans are and where He is working in our churches.

Naomi spoke the Word on John 6 25-36

Jesus said I am the bread of life

Bread in biblical times was of vital importance to peoples lives.

What does it mean? I am the bread of life.

Jesus wanted to lift their vision - there is spiritual bread you cannot live without in your day to day.

The process to make a loaf of bread and onto the table was a long process.

This process is what Jesus had to go through too for us on the cross.

Do we feel hungry again? Jesus wants to meet our need. Spiritual joy, peace and comfort.

‘Comes’ Keep coming to Jesus to feed us day in and day out.

How do we seek Jesus each day - or what is stopping us.

His love makes us worthy to come to Him.

Let’s feed on Jesus to fill our time, bodies and mind daily. Satisfying your soul.

Connect in on You Tube to feed on the Word that Naomi brought to us.

Blessings,

Church Office Team
