Marion Church of Christ Music Team is putting together it's first CD of worship songs that were recorded through the COVID lockdown.

We are so thankful to God for opening doors, for guiding us through this time of uncertainty - to praise Him loudly in worship online and now in your homes, cars with family and friends. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this process.

We would love you to pre-order CDs ($20 per CD) for your family and friends to give as Christmas presents - what a wonderful way to spread the good news of the Gospel.

John Michael Anastacio, 15/11/2004. Age: 15 turning 16 soon and lives in the Philippines.

John lives with his father who is a day labourer and his mother. John helps by buying and selling in the market, carrying water and cleaning when not at school.

His favourite interests include; baseball, basketball, Sunday School and youth group.

He is in year 10 and his favourite subject is Maths.

As a youth group we have sponsored John for many years and our leaders remember him when he was little and they were youth at youth group.

To keep John and Sathi supported we ask that you please donate on their behalf when singing in on Friday nights at youth.

We need $60 a month to help these wonderful children, a dollar a week goes a long way but realistically it will cost more than that so please consider how you can partner with us to help show these children the love of Jesus.

We accept bottles and cans for recycling - you can drop them off on Fridays at youth to help financially support us.

Yes that's right. We will have no 6pm service on Sunday 4 October.

Please RSVP for the 10am service and ensure your seat.

So in this light, we encourage you to 'ponder, contemplate, consider' prayerfully the people who have been faithfully serving on Governing Council and give thanks to God for completing their term of office, to those people who God has in mind to step into the vacancies that Governing Council now have.

We continue to pray for the people who are having to daily deal with COVID. We ask for Your hand to be over the researches and testers of the vaccines. Lord God we ask for your healing, and grace for these people.

Loving Father, we thank You that You know every decision we need to make and every challenge we face. Please forgive us for the times that we try to figure out life on our own. We recognise that we need You. We need Your Holy Spirit to give us strength, wisdom and direction.

Lord, in our happy moments we praise You.

In our difficult moments, we seek You.

In our quiet moments, we worship You.

In our painful moments, we trust You.

MarionLIFE Big Dish Up started today in the Marion Church of Christ kitchen.

It was well attended with lots of cooking and conversation being heard throughout the building.
